They're Back!!!
The monarch butterflies that is!! Every year in November thousands of monarchs migrate to a special grove of eucalyptus near the beach. It is an amazing sight to see when the air is warm and there are thousands of butterflies flying overhead!! On cooler days you have to look carefully because they look like leaves hanging on the trees. But you see one flutter and you know it's not really a leaf!! They can't fly when temperatures are below 55 degrees Fahrenheit. The amazing thing is that they have never been here before. But, they somehow find their way here. Every year we love to go and watch the butterflies. Mike took these photos.

Cindy, that is soooo beautiful! I wish I could be there to see them in person. Isn't nature fascinating? Thanks for the pictures.
That is so cool! I'm so glad you take pictures of those kinds of things. I knew the butterfly's migrated but I didn't know where they went. I'll have to show my boys in the morning.
I miss seeing the butterflies. I always loved it when you took us there. Say hi to the butterflies to me!!
Thank you for the pictures. Truly, a miracle of nature.
