One Hundred Years Ago Today...

my daddy was born. He was number eight out of eleven children in his family. My father was fun and he was honest. He has been gone for almost 30 years and I still miss him. I'm sad that he didn't get to know his grandchildren. I know he would have been a wonderful and loving grandfather.

I remember one time when I was a little girl, I think about four or five years old. I got lost in the grocery store, and I was so scared. I started calling out loudly for my Daddy. A nice lady helped me find my family. I was so happy to see my Dad. He hugged me and didn't get mad at me for getting myself lost. When we feel lost in life, parents are always the best people to turn to for help!

Can you see those smiling Irish eyes?

Happy Birthday, Daddy!!

I'm sorry I didn't get to meet him. I like that picture. How old is he in it?

Katie that picture was from his last drivers license, it was taken around 1977 so was around 67. Pretty good for a drivers license, huh??
