FIFTY TWO BLESSING PROJECT, Week Nine

I'm grateful for the Boy Scouts of America!!

Scout Oath or Promise
On my honor, I will do my best
To do my duty to God
and my Country
and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.

I love the picture above. It shows Boy Scouts of all levels, even a little Cub Scout!! They are off to provide service and they are smiling and happy!! Their church and other community buildings are in the background, because they offer support to the Boy Scouts. I have been helping with the Boy Scout Merit Badge PowWow!! Three Saturdays in a row there are 200 Boy Scouts all in one big building to work on lots of merit badges. I'm helping with the Disabilities Awareness Badge, what else?? I have had some great young men taking this merit badge. In todays society some youth are looked down upon for their behavior. It is so nice to see a group of boys who are striving to be their best!! And desiring to learn new things!!

I'm grateful that all three of my sons are Eagle Scouts. All three of my daughters married Eagle scouts too!! And my little grandson, Spencer, is a future Eagle Scout who just became a Cub Scout! What a great program to build strong men with great values!! Men who will be strong, faithful husbands and fathers and take care of their families! I am grateful for such a wonderful program!!

Scout Law
A Scout is
trustworthy,
loyal,
helpful,
friendly,
courteous,
kind,
obedient,
cheerful,
thrifty,
brave,
clean,
and reverent.

I'm a total fan of scouting too!! No surprise there though huh?! Brian is an Eagle Scout and Nathan is on his way up. He loves being a Cub Scout.

What a great picture! I may have to snag that - I just got my first Eagle Mother's pin! Hallelujah! Only 3 more to go.

Isn't this a great program. Brads dad and brother are Eagles, as are his Uncles (my brothers) and his cousins. I wish we could get them all together for a picture. The sad thing is most couldn't get into their uniforms any more. My mother is pretty proud of her own "eagles nest" of grandsons.
I loved the pictures on your blog

It's always a good thing to give a boy something to do to keep him out of trouble and this is a great blessing to reconize for that!

The Boy Scout program is wonderful! I can't wait until my little guy is old enough to be part of the program. He is going to have so much fun!

I see that Scouting is a family story in your country. In France it keeps a religious side.
I love your poster, I thought it was a Norman Rockwell's, but in fact no. But it is as well nice.
