Well, I did it! I slurped my blog into a book and I absolutely love it!!
Now, I can tell people I published book that is copyrighted!!
I used a program called Blurb! It was easy to do and I think it turned out great!!
It cost around $30 for my 84 page book. To me it is well well worth the price!

That is sooooo cool! I HAVE to do that! What a treasure!
That is pretty cool. I would love to see it.
That is really cool. How often do you think you will do that? It could be a revolutionary way to journal. Perhaps once a year or what do you think? How often or how much space is really available to bloggers? Are there size constraints?
I think I will do it once a year. This book was seven months worth of blogging. It was 84 pages. You can get soft cover or hard cover. I chose hard cover. I want it to last. I love that my blog is now tangible. Your book can be anywhere from 20 to 440 pages priced from $23 to $65. Check out the Blurb webpage. The software was easy to use.
I love this idea, Cindy. I would have bet you're someone who loves the sens of touch of a book. The person who loves material objects, something which stay in your possession. I'm just like you. When I do genealogic searches, and I find birth acts online, I can't resist, I have to print them. Just to know I can consult them, in case of informatic problems. To know I will be able to pass on to my children.
It's the same idea, nowadays, editors begins to put on line books. But it isn't so easy to read on a screen, and read a book leafing it, turning back .
A very interesting idea.
Does your book have the same rich green color of your blog? Does it really carry over to the book format?
Catherine: Yes, I love the feel of books. I don't like to read things that are very long on the computer. I print stuff out all the time. I like things tangible!!
Laurel: Well, it looks like you see it in the pictures. The colors and background don't carry over. So there is no green. But, I could have done the cover more colorful. But, it carried over all the text and pictures that I posted, expect the comments. Next time I think if I tell my blog not to hide the comments, it will pick them up too. I did spend some time moving text so there wasn't so much empty space on the pages. It started with 136 pages I think and I got it down to 84. I have to say that it was a learning experience. I'm happy with my first attempt, and next one will be better!!
