100 Temples

That is the number of Temples that are now using the New FamilySearch program. Just this past week this wonderful milestone was reached. New FamilySearch is a program that allows people to find their ancestors and bind them in families for eternity. It is also is a great way to find other people who are working on your line and colaberate with them. Currently, it is only available to LDS church members who live in 100 different Temple districts around the world. Eventually, it will be available to anyone, anywhere in the world. I love using this program and watching it evolve. If you are interested in what New Family Search will look like in the future check out Family Tree at Family Search Labs. There are other great resources when you are at Family Search Labs. Record Search is a great program, that is being continually updated. It has been exciting to be a small part of this process while serving as a Church Service Missionary.

I heard about this program but they said Utah will have to be one of the last states to be added since there are so many LDS people here.

Brian spent a few hours at the Family History Library in SLC. I think he could spend every day there!! He found his great-grandfather's naturalization record which is a HUGE find. We've had too much conflicting information on when and where he was born. It's exciting!

100 temples with the New Family Search only 25 more to update that are operational, then add the remaining 15 and the 5 that were announced today and it spells HURRAY!!! I know family history work is real, it is vital to our salvation and the salvation of our ancestors. I thank Heavenly Father for the temples.

Yes, Aprilyn, Utah, Idaho, Las Vegas and some of the Asian temples are still remaining. Just think how much improved the program will be when you receive it!!
That is exciting that Brian found information. I love genealogy!!

That is a beautiful picture. I'm so glad that you shared that info about Family Search, I love to go play and look things up. I haven't ever done any "real" work on my family lines though. I keep leaving it up to my Aunts, but some of the younger generation need to step up to the plate soon and do our share. Thanks for the inspiration and information!
