HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

I have a longing in my heart today to hug my mom and tell her I love her. Unfortunately, she lives far away and is unable to talk on the phone. I'm not even sure if she knows who I am anymore. But, I know who she is and I'm so grateful to have been born to a wonderful mother. I love these quotes attributed to David O. McKay.

"The noblest calling in the world is that of mother. True motherhood is the most beautiful of all arts, the greatest of all professions. She who can paint a masterpiece or who can write a book that will influence millions deserves the plaudits and admiration of mankind; but she who rears successfully a family of healthy, beautiful sons and daughters whose immortal souls will be exerting an influence throughout the ages long after paintings shall have faded, and books and statues shall have been destroyed, deserves the highest honor that man can give."

"Motherhood is the greatest potential influence either for good or ill in human life. The mother's image is the first that stamps itself on the unwritten page of the young child's mind. It is her caress that first awakens a sense of security; her kiss, the first realization of affection; her sympathy and tenderness, the first assurance that there is love in the world.”

I am sure your mother will always really know who you are!

I am sure too! That is a good picture. I haven't seen her in such a long time...the white hair...my it wasn't white or even that gray the last time I saw her.
